Agenda

Erlang has been around since 1986 - that's 28 years!   It is only now beginning to find widespread favour and support.

Come along for a not-too-detailed presentation of the Erlang programming language and a hands-on demonstration of a range of popular servers and services using Erlang - from CMS to Gaming to Telephony.  You probably are using Erlang - even if you don't realise it ...

Bio

SIG convenor Alan Milligan has been using Erlang as a core component of Last Bastion Network DevOps solutions for over five years.  Here he will share some of these and highlight a range of other popular web services you quite probably use that are also based on Erlang.
