This is going to be a hands-on workshop, with particular reference to the Amazon Web Services platform, demonstrating how to manage cloud deployments.
We will cover PKI, direct management of your cloud with popular Ruby and Python application languages, and creating and deploying custom kernel/images. Finally, we will demonstrate automated large-scale configuration with Chef, and systems and capacity management with Zenoss.

Alan Milligan is the Enterprise Architect at Last Bastion Networks where he has recently been integrating cloud features within the flagship BastionLinux operating system.
